Is robotics your passion? This small wholly-owned subsidiary of a publicly held Fortune 500 corporation seeks an Associate Software Engineer to develop elaborate high-speed automated equipment control software. The systems are high speed, 4,700 square foot in size, with 90 stations. They include 4 axis robotic arms, conveyors, bar code scanners, machine vision, pneumatic actuators, sensors, servomotors, mobile device web applications, and more. The custom controls are web-enabled. It takes 11 months to build one of these machines. In the ‘80s, we used to term a situation like this a “country club.” The clean, beautiful facility looks like a college campus. Amenities include a nice cafeteria, BBQ grills, fuzball, pool table, ping-pong, summer and Christmas parties with live music. You’ll be using real-time Java, Eclipse IDE with SVN, Maven and Nexus module management, relational databases, CSS styling, HTML5, Jquery, and AJAX. There will be considerable systems integration projects, and you could also assist in troubleshooting field service problems. Salary ranges $63,000 to $68,000. Benefits are outstanding and include professional development programs, employee recognition programs, HRA medical plan, dental plan with a 50% company match on orthodontics up to $1500, optical plan, flexible spending accounts, a 3% company match of base pay, adoption assistance, legal assistance, credit union, long term care and critical illness insurance, tuition refund plan, and much more. No relocation expenses are available. Requires permanent U.S. residency, a BSEE or BSCS/CE degree, and the capability to develop object-oriented applications level software for machine controls using Java, C#.NET, or C++. Exposure to machine vision, mobile robots, collaborative robots, pneumatic actuators, sensors, and servomotors strongly preferred.
