A well established aerospace component job shop seeks a CNC Programmer with aerospace industry experience. This is a highly profitable, non-union, family-owned company which has contracts running into 2024! They have so many orders that they have been turning down new business. The company has a policy of investing 10% of their profits in new technology. There is a cafeteria and a small gym on site. Their facility is easily accessible from I-84, Route 9, and Route 72. The Production Manager here is quite knowledgeable and he treats everyone with respect and dignity. The operations here include 3- 5 Axis CNC milling and turning, horizontal broaching, curvic grinding, forging, shot peening, honing, forging, deburring, and polishing. Initially, You’ll be programming 3 axis horizontal and vertical lathes using “G” code. Depending on your background, there could be some manufacturing engineering duties, as well. Hours run from 7 to 3:30. Base salary ranges from $90,000 to $100,000, and they will go higher for a Manufacturing Engineer who programs. They are purchasing a new 5 to 7 axis “Millturn” this year, so there could very well be exposure to this. Requires permanent U.S. residency, and three or more years of CNC 3 axis lathe programming experience in an aerospace job shop. They avoid hiring people who change jobs every year or two. A drug screen and criminal background check is part of the hiring process.
