This smaller, 70+ year old family-owned bearings manufacturer has a nice mix of “household name” industrial customers. Business is strong–they added a new facility in 2016. They pride themselves in having many long term employees; in fact, this position is open due to a retirement. Their atmosphere is tight knit and they have a reputation to be a decent place to work. They attempt to promote from within when possible. The Plant Manager came up the ranks from Quality Supervisor. Reporting to the president, the grandson of the founder, you will have a staff of 7, including Design Engineers, a Toolroom Supervisor, and Toolmakers. Operations include CNC machining, metal stamping, screw machines, and heat treating. The salary ranges $125,000 to $150,000, depending on level of experience, and there is a 20% bonus. I will show them qualified engineering managers with higher requirements. Relocation assistance is available. Requires a 4 year technical degree, 8 or more years of engineering experience in the bearing industry including some supervisory background, and solid knowledge of metal stamping and CNC machining.
