A highly profitable, privately held 30+-year-old manufacturer of custom automated systems is reestablishing a satellite operation, creating an opening for a Machine Designer with SolidWorks background. They rank #1 or #2 in their niche of custom automated systems worldwide with locations in six countries, and they have a 2 year backlog of orders. This company serves a wide range of industries, including medical, electronics, food, industrial, automotive, security, oil & gas, and nuclear. The aggressive management has put together several partnerships with state-of-art robotics manufacturers and software houses. Their one-of-a-kind systems incorporate motion control devices, robots, material handling systems, pneumatics, motor drives, gearboxes, conveyors, high power electronic subsystems and more, all controlled by PLCs and CAN-based controls with proprietary software. After 2-4 weeks all-expenses-paid training in NY, you will be transferring rough designs into detailed drawings, including assembly and fabrication drawings on SolidWorks. In addition, you will review engineering drawings for adherance to quality standards and national codes, producing calculations to verify designs, generate BOMs, working with production to revise drawings, support technical writers, and more. Salary ranges $50-80K, depending on experience.
