This highly profitable aerospace component manufacturer’s customers include a long list of Fortune 50 aerospace corporations and they have orders locked in for at least a decade. There are clearly long term opportunities for growth–the highly aggressive parent corporation has a goal of making one acquisition a year, and they have kept on this track for at least 10 years. They are in the midst of building a new facility for this division, which they hope to complete by next year. Their facility is conveniently located close to I-84. This position is open due to the supervisor transferring into another role. Reporting to a Manufacturing Manager, you’ll be supervising and training 33 non-union machinists, ensuring adherence to AS 9100 quality specifications, and helping to implement lean manufacturing techniques. Operations include extensive grinding, as well as some 4 axis turning and milling. Machines are programmed in MasterCam and “G” code. You will also be responsible for the heat treat and assembly areas. Hours run from 6 AM to 3:30 PM, so you’ll be able to dodge some traffic. Salary target is $70,000 to $80,000. Requires permanent U.S. residency, five or more years of machine shop experience with a manufacturer and several years of supervisory or team lead experience.
