Manufacturing Engineer- metal stampings/machining So. Hartford County

This highly profitable, 47 year-old family-held company is aggressive and has good long-term vision. Much of their work centers on the automotive, defense, industrial, and medical industries. They currently have two divisions in Connecticut and a third in Central America. Management attempts to stay ahead of the competition through securing state-of-the-art equipment. In addition to CNC machining and metal stamping machines, they also own patented automated assembly equipment. Their facility is quite clean and air-conditioned. Reporting to a Manufacturing Engineering Manager, your role is typical, and includes: facilitating product design changes, training employees on progressive die and CNC machining operations, improving manufacturing methods, developing new manufacturing processes, implementing lean manufacturing, defining and developing processes for new products, evaluating and justifying new production equipment, and more. You will be working closely with design and quality departments, as well as production. This shop works to ANSI Y 14.5 Geometric Dimensions and Tolerances. Salary ranges from $75,000 to $95,000, depending on level of experience, and there is an additional bonus.
