This is an opportunity for you to break into the aerospace industry. This is a smaller subsidiary of a dynamic, $5.5 B publicly held parent corporation. Their stock has jumped by 157% in the past 5 years. This offers the best of both worlds—the close-knit atmosphere of a small company with the superior benefits of a Fortune 1000 corporation. Reporting to a Chief Engineer, you’ll be designing aerospace components on a range of projects using SolidWorks and CATIA. FEA analysis, design for manufacturability and assembly, tool and fixture design, devising and executing tests, DFMEA, and supervising validation for certification are all part of the job. In addition to the 3D modeling, you will be doing risk analysis, making assembly drawings, developing BOM and manufacturing instructions, and more. CNC machining, casting, brazing, welding, and electroplating are the processes used in manufacturing. Some of their products incorporate electromagnetics. There could be a little travel, much of it local. Target salary ranges from $80,000 to $95,000, depending on level of experience, and I will show them qualified candidates with requirements to $100,000. Their benefits are excellent and include a cafeteria medical plan with Anthem BC/BS, Kaiser, or HSA, prescription drug plan, flexible spending accounts, dental, life, short & long term disability, credit union, employee assistance program, 401 (k), 12 holidays, tuition aid after 1 year, sick days, discounts on AFLAC, pet insurance, identity theft insurance, and legal aid, and more. Relocation expenses are available. Due to Dept. of Defense contracts, all employees are U.S. citizens. Requires U.S. citizenship, two or more years of component design engineering experience using 3D modeling and FEA a BSME or BS Aerospace Engineering degree, and exposure to some of the manufacturing processes mentioned above. Aerospace component design experience is preferred, but not required. Knowledge of metallurgy or exposure to electromechanical component product design is also attractive. There is an R & D Engineer position opening here, as well. All employees need to be vaccinated against COVID-19. A drug screen and background check is part of the hiring process.
