This non-unionized division of a highly profitable, publicly held $1.34 B manufacturer of aerospace components searches for a Mechatronics Engineer with some PLC programming and automation/robotics design background. Known for their highly engineered products, this is one the most profitable divisions in the international corporation. One of their products holds 80% of the global market share. Their customers include a long list of Fortune 50 aerospace corporations. They are conveniently located in a beautiful, clean facility. Reporting to the Controls Engineering Manager, you’ll join 2 other engineers and 3 electricians in the department. They currently have 2 Universal robots in house, and they want to further automate the assembly process. There will also be some Click, Allen-Bradley, and Mitsubishi PLC programming on production equipment. You will be conceptualizing new projects, handling capital equipment acquisitions, designing the systems using SolidWorks, building prototypes using a 3D printer, and will be directing electricians in the assembly process. You will also be helping to brainstorm new systems to track equipment control software. Target salary ranges from $85K to $130K, depending on level of experience, and I will show them qualified engineers with higher requirements. Benefits include Aetna Choice POS II Medical, Met Life Dental, vision care, tuition aid, and 401(k) plan. They shy away from folks who change jobs every year or two. Requires permanent U.S. residency, serious experience doing PLC programming, and some automated system design and implementation experience using robotic systems. A BS or AS degree is strongly preferred, but the experience is more important than degrees.
