On-Site NDT Technician- Greater Los Alamos, NM

A highly profitable, privately held 30+-year-old manufacturer of custom automated systems seeks a Non-Destructive Test Technician to work at a local customer site. They rank #1 or #2 in their niche of custom automated systems worldwide with locations in 6 countries, and they have a two-year backlog of orders. This company serves a wide range of industries which includes medical, electronics, food, industrial, automotive, security, oil & gas, and nuclear. The aggressive management has put together several partnerships with state-of-art robotics manufacturers. These custom systems incorporate motion control devices, robotics, material handling systems, pneumatics, motor drives, gearboxes, conveyors, high power electronic subsystems and more, all controlled by PLCs and CAN-based controls with proprietary software. After training, you’ll provide Digital Radiography and Computed Tomography services assuring parts meet specifications using a power hoist and high speed conveyor, training new technicians, inputting data into the customer computer, and more. Salary ranges $25.00 – $30.00 /hr., depending on experience. Once you are certified NDT Level 2 by ASNT, you’ll get a $2.00/hr. raise. Requires permanent U.S. residency, 2 years experience in a hands-on technical role in an industrial setting, the ability to sit and stand in alternating 1 hour shifts, computer literacy, and a positive attitude.
