Operations Manager- Machine Assembly – Greater New Haven, CT

Have some background in machine assembly? This is a small division of a privately-held global corporation, a leader in its line of capital equipment, with over 3000 employees. The atmosphere is quite casual and down-to-earth. Everybody pitches in when the time comes for final product assembly and for disassembly for transport. Orders have been booked so far to keep them busy throughout 2018. Reporting to the General Manager, you’ll handle three departments with 6 employees on the first shift. These include electrical assembly, mechanical assembly, and shipping. There will be additional employees as the company grows.
Salary ranges between $80,000 and $100,000 depending on level of experience. Company pays 80% of its employees’ Medical United Healthcare), Vision (Highmark BC/BS), and Dental (Guardian) benefits. Other benefits include life, long & short term disability insurance, health care and dependent care reimbursement accounts, 5 sick days, 10 holidays, and a company-matched 401 (k) plan with a 100% company match to 5% of employees contribution, after 1 year service. In addition, there is an annual bonus program, based on employee and company performance, which paid out between 4 and 8% of salary last year.
Requires permanent U.S. residency, background in scheduling using an ERP system, and several years of supervisory experience in capital equipment/large machinery assembly. An ASME or BSME degree is required. They hire people with investigative, “can do” personalities and they seek out employees with a stable track record of employment.
