Open due to a retirement, this position reports to a Software Manager who has only worked here his whole career. There are 5 Software Engineers in the department. The Software Engineer will be using C#.NET, Microsoft Foundation Server,and Team Foundation Server to develop applications software for incredibly precise instruments. They sell to automotive, defense, and the scientific research industries. This is a class operation. They have an in-house machine shop to make key components, and a clean room for sensitive assemblies. They pride themselves in having low employee turnover–most have been with the company 15 years or more. Salary ranges from $90,000 to $120,000, and the benefits are excellent (90% of base medical company-paid, dental, tuition aid, co.-matched 401 (k), etc.) I understand the atmosphere is quite employee oriented, and that their facility is beautiful. Requires permanent U.S. residency, 4 or more years of C#.NET development in an engineering application (vs. IT), and a knack for mathematics. Any experience developing software for moving equipment should be a shoo-in.
