Looking to break into the aerospace industry? This is the most profitable division of a $720MM+ publicly held international corporation manufacturing highly engineered aerospace products. Their customers include a long list of Fortune 50 industrial and aerospace corporations. The atmosphere here is dynamic and fluid, and management is quite aggressive, focusing on acquisitions and on building new facilities to increase market share. The reporting structure is remarkably flat and they have minimum of established procedures. Their facility was renovated last year and they have a good COVID-19 policy limiting meetings, socially distancing, wearing masks, and continuously cleaning common areas. You will report to the Manager of Product Engineering, a 30-year employee who has worked their way up the ranks. The duties are typical and include mentoring and training younger Application Engineers, assessing aerospace customer product requirements, evaluating designs, making technical presentations, using SolidWorks to create 3D models for design feasibility and performance, strengthening customer relationships, and more. Travel is expected to be rare. The salary target ranges from $90,000 to $110,000, and I will present qualified engineers with higher requirements. Benefits include a cafeteria Aetna or HSA medical plan, dental, vision care, tuition aid, and 401(k) plan. Relocation expenses are available. Requires permanent U.S. residency, a BS or MS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, five or more years of Applications Engineering experience with a manufacturer, a polished appearance, fine communication skills, and a knack for making technical presentations. Anyone with prior experience with machined metal products or with aerospace industry background is preferred.
