Make the move into the aerospace industry with this division of a highly profitable, publicly held $1.34 B manufacturer of highly engineered aerospace components. Known for their highly engineered products, this is one the most profitable divisions in the international corporation. One of their products holds 80% of the global market share. Their customers include a long list of Fortune 50 aerospace corporations. They are conveniently located in a beautiful, clean facility. Since the aggressive parent corporation has had a goal of making one acquisition a year to increase market share, career opportunities abound. The reporting structure is remarkably flat with a minimum of established procedures, and there is no union. Reporting to the Applications Engineering Manager, the Application Engineer’s duties are typical. These include dealing directly with customers conceptualizing new product designs and modifications, providing technical support to Sales Engineers, making technical presentations, training sales staff on technical issues, providing product design specifications to CAD Designers, preparing bills of materials, establishing testing requirements, test plans, and reporting test results to customers, supporting custom products through the manufacturing processes, failure evaluation and analysis, and more. The salary ranges from $90,000 to $130,000, depending on level of experience. Benefits include Aetna Choice POS II Medical, Met Life Dental, vision care, tuition aid, 401(k) plan, and relocation assistance. Requires permanent U.S. residency, a four-year technical degree, and three or more years experience serving as an Applications Engineer. They shy away from folks who change jobs every year or two. A criminal background check is part of the interview process.
