Sr. Product Engineer- Aerospace products Greater Bridgeport, CT

Here’s your shot to break into the aerospace industry. This is the most profitable division of an international $1B+ publicly held corporation manufacturing highly engineered aerospace products. Their customers include a long list of Fortune 50 industrial and aerospace corporations. The atmosphere here is dynamic and fluid, and management is quite aggressive, focusing on acquisitions and on building new facilities to increase market share. The reporting structure is remarkably flat and they have a minimum of established procedures. Reporting to the Director of Product Development, the Senior Product Engineer will be doing new product development, mentoring younger engineers, assessing aerospace customer product requirements, evaluating designs, making technical presentations, using SolidWorks to create 3D models for design feasibility and performance, devising and executing new product tests, strengthening customer relationships, and more. Some companies would term this position “Applications Engineer”. Travel is expected to be rare.  Salary target ranges from $100,000 to $120,000, and I will present qualified engineers with higher requirements. Benefits include a cafeteria Aetna or HSA medical plan, dental, vision care, tuition aid, company paid week off between Christmas and New Years, and a 401(k) plan. Relocation expenses are available.
Requires permanent U.S. residency, hopefully an AS or BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, two or more years of Design, Applications or Product Engineering experience with a manufacturer, good communications skills, and a knack for making technical presentations. They also request someone with experience taking a new product through the development process. Anyone with prior experience with machined metal products or with aerospace industry background is preferred.
